    • 1) You may be required to wrestle once a week. In rare circumstances, usually with your consent, you may also be double carded. This will be avoided where possible but it may occur at times, particularly to those handlers with multiple characters.
    • 2) You must post at least one Roleplay per match, before the deadline. Failure to do so will result in you jobbing the match. Persistant no-shows without good reason may result in dicipline, e.g. suspensions, or in extreme circumstances, termination. In addition, all Roleplays must be in Roleplay format. Dialogue must be by the character that is in the match in a IC manner, whether it be verbal or not verbal . Any RPs that the staff decide could count as "OOC comments" will not count.
    • 3) Being booked against a jobber works the same way as facing a real opponent, and you will still lose the match if you fail to RP.
    • 4) A Champion will lose his championship if they fail to RP for a title defense.
    • 5) Any EMF Superster may only hold 1 Singles championship at any one time. They may hold one half of the Tag Team Championships alongside this title.
    • 6) If you know in advance you will be unable to RP, you must contact a member of the EMF Staff (preferably Mike) as soon as possible. We will attempt to come up with a solution, but only in rare circumstances will you be removed from a match already on a card.
    • 7) A Handler may only have 3 active wrestlers at any one time. He/She may also own the rights to Managers or other characters (Interviewers, Staff Members etc) alongside these, but only within reason (which will be determined by the EMF staff.)
    • 8) A Handler may only hold a maximum of 2 Singles titles between his characters. He/She may also hold the Tag Team Titles alongside any singles titles.
    • 9) The best Roleplay (as determined by a selection/the entire EMF staff) will win the match most of the time. Some matches however may be for storyline, with a pre-determined ending. You will be notified if your match is a Storyline Match, and while Roleplaying for it is still preferable, there is no requirement to do so.
    • 10) The deadline is Midnight (Eastern Time) the night before the event. You will be notified if this deadline is extended or shortened.
    • 11) The limit of wrestlers in a stable is 6.
    • 12) Interference/Run Ins for a match are allowed, and if you wish to do one, you should email the details to a member of the EMF staff. These will not, however, always be accepted by the staff. In a competitive match, run in's never determine the out come for a match. They are feud/storyline builders. They may, or may not lead to a match. Run in will be rejected if it's learned that an individual RPer believes this not to be the case. Until such point they do and/or to the best judgment of the owner.
    • 13) No racist remarks of any kind. Anyone posting them in a roleplay or on the forums will be subjct to diciplinary action, which may include termination.
    • 14) Any characters in the Hall of Fame but not on the active roster may only be used by the Handler that got them inducted. For details, see the Hall of Fame page.
    • 15) In the case of 2 IC parents being unable to determine which should get the rights to use the child, the child will disappear from all storylines until this can be resolved.
    • 16) You must RP once, usually for a dark match, to earn your spot on the roster.
    • 17) Gates Rule: In the TV Title division there is a limit to 3 RPs for the match, and these RPs must all be under 15k. This will be measured on text alone (not the layout) using Notepad. RPs found to be above the limit will not count.
    • 18) In the event of both RPers no showing a match, the first RP posted after the deadline will win the match. However this RP, like all other RPs, must be in RP format (spoken by the character concerned etc.) Any RPs judged not to be in this format will not count and thus will not win the match.
    • 19) You may not do the following during a roleplay:
    • - Use another handlers character(s) without their permission.
    • - Break Kayfabe (e.g. use personal details about the handler, talk about gimmicks being given out by writers, or anything else deemed to break Kayfabe.)
    • - Make comments that are deemed to be racist.
    • - Post Graphic sex scenes. However, in RARE circumstances, this may be allowed, as long as the scene is not part of the bulk of the roleplay (e.g. it has its own link so people can read the RP without it) and as long as a good warning is given about the content of the link. This should be cleared with a member of EMF staff before posting. Any scene posted in this way will not count as Focused material for the RP.
    • Violating any of these rules will be punished with a warning (except in the case of severe racism, or anything else which causes severe offence, in which case the staff reserve the right to terminate an account immediately). Commiting the same offence again after a warning may, and in most cases will, result in a termination.
    • 20) Any new characters, or any changes to existing characters (including their image) must be approved by a member of the EMF staff, who reserve the right to reject them
      21) Roleplays must not be copy and pasted from another e-fed, regardless of whether you wrote them or not. Any roleplays which are found to have been used in another Fed will be disqualified.
    • 22) All rules are enforced under the judgement of the EMF staff. There can be no arguments about how the staff handle particular situations, or the staffs interpretation of these rules.
    • 23) It is not the responsability of the EMF staff to remind you of these rules. While they may remind you on occasions, it is your responsability to know the rules.
    • 24) All EMF Rules are subject to change, and as such, this page should be checked from time to time

NEW RULES (All active as of 4/14/2020)

    • Frequent disrespect towards the staff over things such as match calls, results, or any fed function will not be tolerated. This can be an emotional game. That is a fact very much understood by the EMF's staff. But we all work hard. If someone continually ignores this rule, then they may be subject to consequences up to terminated from the EMF at the sole discretion of the EMF's owner.
    • The EMF has a tradition of great storylines. However, a storyline can not get in the way of a match already planned (by the staff, or approved by the staff). Booked currently, or not. It also can not replace RPing, and winning a match.
-When a match is booked by a staff member. The participants can agree to a storyline ending. However, now they must make various endings to cover all out comes. These sort of storyline matches now must be competitive, and RPed for like all matches. They can not set a winner, and the loser will have to take what that means for their momentum, or opportunities in the future.
-Storyline matches with one set ending can be pitched to the staff by members. They Can't replace regular booking, and competitive RPing. But as long as it doesn't get in the way of anything, there is a plan, and nothing about it is against any rules, then it will be likely approved. As mentioned, these are the only sort of matches where two RPers in agreement can set a winner.
-You may request for a match to have a DQ or countout ending as long as all parties involve agree. However, both parties must RP in this case with some degree of effort (example-Not a one line "I will beat you RP). If one does not, then they will be subject to the match being called as is, and the ending will be turned to some sort of pin/submission victory. (not active as of yet)
    • All advertisements pointing all EMF members to an offsite server of any kind (from chat servers to another site) are now completely banned on the forum. All attempts will be removed. This along with the rule below is being put in place to make sure that EMF can once again have an community within the EMF itself.
-You may invite a small group of people through PM, or e-mail.
-All people who in the past use to invite people to a discord are now being asked not to invite everyone, or a large majority of EMF members to any chat server. Especially one that is put in place to be a long term place for people to go. Be it "official" EMF, or not. Also it's being ask of you to not invite people to a chat server as soon as they join. Allow at least a few month's at least.
-These rules can be tighten up, and will be tighten up if needed. For any reason that I feel they need to be successful, or if I get any resistance, then that is what will happen. For now, this rule is me asking everyone nicely to do this, and to trust the people who invite people away to slow their role a little bit with inviting our beyond RPing activity, or any potential activity to happen any place than the EMF. The EMF is now the place to learn about the EMF, not anywhere else.
    • Suspended accounts no longer mean you have been fired/banned. Previously in the EMF once a member had been accepted they had access to the forums almost forever, except in situations where access had to be taken away. Now when deemed not active on the forums, either in an active RPer way, or an inactive RPer way, or whatever way you were originally allowed on the forums in the first place, then after a duration of time (which might not be the same in all situations.) Your account(s) will be put on suspension status. Which mean you will lose all access to the forum, and the EMF itself.) This doesn't mean you aren't welcomed back, this means you will have to reapply as an RPer to reactivate your account. To which you will be re-accepted, or not (how to reapply will be below). The ways to keep your account active so it doesn't get to that point are as followed.
-Active RPer- As an active RPer, you don't have to be apart of the OOC discussion, or anything else except for one thing. You just need to continue to RP for matches, or at least give me a sense that you want to play the game. Be that from an active RP perceptive, or a storyline RPer. Once the staff has decided to no longer book you for matches, you are no longer considered an active RPer.
-Inactive RPer- A person no longer being put in matches can keep their account active, if they continue to be apart of the forum, and don't cause any issues. PM's do not count, or any chat not within the EMF domain also does not count. It must be on the forums. Be that OOC discussions, forum games, or whatever. As long as it gives something positive to the community.
-Suspended?-When a EMF member no longer fits under either category, about six month's from their last RP, their forum account(s) will be suspended. The clock only starts when the staff no longer books a character. If that happens, and the last RP was 6 month's ago, or later, then they get their accounts suspended on the spot. If the character has not RPed in a long time, but attempts to be active just before suspension, they will be expected to stay active within reason, and with effort with their RP's for at least 4 month's. (unless said otherwise) If they can not, then one RP does not do the job, and will not reset the clock. The forum account will be suspended. To that point, they give up all real character rights they might have owned, and the only way back is to reapply as an active RPer (you can't reapply as an inactive RPer). If accepted, you must meet your RPer expectations to gain the same cushion again. If not, you will be put back on suspension as soon as the staff deems you inactive. You also can not become an inactive RPer until you clear these expectations.
-Reapplying-Once your account has been suspended, you can not rejoin as an inactive member (some exclusions might apply, but those will be rare). Only way to reactivate your character is with the intent to become an active RPer once again. You can do this by sending a new application, or e-mailing me (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.). While your account is suspended, your character rights will be free, so if they get taken (unless they have some sort of Hall of Fame (HOF) rights), then they can not be recovered until they are available again.
Whether you are accepted, or not is totally up to Prez Mike's sole discretion, and only his, no one else's. If you were banned/suspended before this rule, unless something has changed, then it’s very likely any re-application will be rejected.
-Once re-accepted, you must continue to do your best to remain an active RPer for at least the required 4 month's, or your account will be resuspended. As mentioned within these 4 month's, you also can't become an inactive RPer only until you clear this time.
-You can continue to reapply if you get suspended more than once, things come up, I understand that. However, if I feel you are just trying to gain access to the forum, then it could play a role in getting your re-appling application rejected. -Deletion of Account(s)-At some point there will be a function for suspended accounts to be completely deleted. For now the only accounts that will be deleted are one's who join, but do not pass their dark matches, and are no longer booked after that.
      Exceptions
-Hall of Famers-EMF/TAW Hall of Famers (HOFers) who follow the rules, and don't cause issues on the forum may keep their account without being suspended without a clock to remain active (be that as an RPer or OOC wise), or having to be apart of discussion or RPing. However, it should be noted that this does not wipe out any prior ban that may have existed before becoming a HOFer. It also doesn't mean you are immune entirely from suspension after it. If there comes any issue in the eyes of the EMF owner, Prez Mike, then a HOFer account can be taken away. (it does not take away your HOF induction, just your forum account)
-EMF Staff-For reasons we do need to run the entire fed, EMF staff will have an account without any ticking clock to remain active. However, we will do what we can to help activity as much as we can within the efed community. Who is on the staff is decided by Prez Mike, and can change at any moment. To which this protection to an account can disappear just as quickly as it was given.
-Someone on an approved break-Someone who asks, and is granted an approved break, may keep their account. However, these won't be infinite, and can't be for years, or any unknown amount of time. If it gets to the point where it's been too long, and I haven't heard from you. Or the time you said you would be back has long come and gone (with some leeway as determined by Prez Mike). Then your account can be suspended, and character rights possibly lost if you don't come back to reclaim them.
-Someone let into the forums for other reasons-There might be some people let into the forums for reasons other than RPing, or OOC activity (such as EMF fantasy football.) Whatever it is you are in for, as long as you stay active with whatever you are there to do, and don't break any rules, you may keep access. These exceptions however are only allowed by talking to Prez Mike, and him accepting you as such an exception.
    • Members can point to the staff a violation of the rules. But once it's reported, they must allow the staff to make the call as they know how. They can not be apart of the process. If there is a case where a members tries to push an outcome that is not the staff's, then there could be consequences. I know that the line in doing this might be thin, so if a member crosses this line, they will be warned. There is no set number how many times they will be warned, all that is promised is more than one. From there, it will depend on the situation. When it's clear to Prez Mike, and Prez Mike alone that there is no going back. There can be actions taken. What that will vary, but could be up to termination.
    • Kayfabe rule clarification- A kayfabe break is someone taking a clear malicious OOC swipe at the RPer behind a character, or trying to undermine the character through OOC means (example- Character looks like the Undertaker. Someone says "your not "insert name here", you're the undertaker"), rather than talking about things relevant to the character you are facing. This is something that I, Prez Mike will note to you if you are even dangerously close to. This is even if your swipes can even have a place in kayfabe. This will be decided by whoever is judging the RP's at the time. Likely me, Prez Mike, if not me, then it will be made clear to the judge to inform me, and I will deal with it. If it's clear to the staff member that you have malice in your intent, then at the very least it could hurt your RP, and could be even worse, depending the frequency, and how many times you have been warned. For things that are just blatant, it could result into far more harsher penalty's. The penalty is at the sole discretion of the owner Prez Mike, and Prez Mike alone. You will get the chance to not do it again, so if you're warned, and you do it again, then it's on you for whatever comes.
-Anything deemed a light hearted joke. Or something that doesn't have personal malice intent by the owner Prez Mike will not be subject to a warning, and any possible future penalty. Again, this is will be at the sole discretion of Prez Mike if that is the case. If you go too far by accident, you will get the chance to make sure to avoid it.
    • There is no such thing as a problem that is a "genie the bottle". That once it has been done, there is no way back. There are things we try in the EMF, some work, some do not. I will not be forced to stick to something just because "it's now established". If something comes to my attention as a problem for the EMF, it can, and will be changed. No matter what it is.
